Bio: After an early tenure with the Joffrey Ballet, David launched a multi-disciplinary career in the arts which has encompassed musical composition, theater, film, branding, robotics and linguistics. His curriculum vitae includes scoring a 2016 ballet commissioned by the Royal Danish Theatre, entitled “Hungry for Blue.” As well as composing the award-winning soundtrack for the 2019 German film “Helmut Berger, meine Mutter und Ich.” He is also a founding member of both the Karmanoia Theatre in Berlin, and the Mother Ground Waldorf school, in Shanghai, China.
David has had the privilege of holding a number of university fellowships, including one in Artistic Robots at Stanford University, and an artist residency at the Center for Expressive Technology. He was also a guest PhD researcher at University of Varanasi where his work focused on classical voice. When not in the magic elf workshop, David is an avid surfer, ocean activist, polyglot and vocal force for endangered languages.
